APPLICATION

The application for exemption from tuition fees is submitted by the interested party to the Secretariat of the P.M.S. after the completion of the selection process of the students at P.M.S. and within 15 days of the announcement of admission results. The possibility of exemption from the obligation to pay tuition fees is provided exclusively for studying at one (1) P.M.S. organized by A.E.I. of the country. In this Postgraduate Studies Regulation, the necessary procedures for successful completion are defined in order to be granted the right to study for free.

The financial situation of a candidate is in no way a reason for non-selection to P.M.S.

Those receiving a scholarship from another source are not entitled to exemption.

The tuition fee exemption application is accompanied by the following supporting documents:

1) Degree of first cycle diploma equal to or higher than seven and a half (7.5) with excellent ten.

2) Responsible declaration, from which it can be seen that the right to be exempted from the tuition fees at P.M.S. has not been used. with the provision of article 86 of Law 4957/2022 and that he does not receive a scholarship from another source.

3) (a) Copies of the E1 declarations and statements (including the ENFIA statement), of the last two (2) financial years of all the family members of your applicant for the exemption from tuition fees, i.e. his/her of the applicant himself/herself, of his/her parents, regardless of whether they file a joint or separate tax return, and of his/her siblings up to twenty-six (26) years of age, as long as they are unmarried. In the case of divorced parents, submit the E1 statement and the bank statement of the parent to whom the applicant is registered as a dependent member (as defined in the Income Tax Code) or was registered before submitting an independent tax return .

     (b) Copies of the E1 declarations and statements (including the ENFIA statement), of the last two (2) financial years of individual taxable income (from 26 years and above).

     (c) Copies of the E1 declarations and statements (including the ENFIA statement), of the last two (2) financial years of the individual and his/her spouse or cohabitant, if he/she is married or has entered into a cohabitation agreement regardless of whether they submit a joint or separate tax return.

4) (a) Certificate(s) of family status from the Municipality, in whose municipal register all members of the family are registered with normal registration issued within the last three months.

     (b) Certificate of studies for children who, after reaching the age of 18, attend secondary education, in a higher or higher education institution in Greece or recognized abroad, as well as in Vocational Training Institutes (I.E.K. ) or in Colleges or in the Post-High School year – Apprenticeship Class of EPA.L. If it is an educational institution of a foreign country, outside the countries of the European Union, the study certificate must be recognized by the Greek Consulate.

     (c) Medical opinion of the Disability Certification Centers (K.P.A.) or decision of the Health Committee of the I.K.A., or the Supreme Health Committees of the Army (ASHYE), of the Navy ( A.Y.E.), of the Air Force (A.Y.E.) and the Hellenic Police, for him/herself or for a dependent member of the household with a disability rate of 67% or more. These supporting documents must be valid at the time the application is submitted and the duration of the disability can be derived from them.

     (d) Death certificate of the deceased parent, if the student has been declared an orphan by one or both parents.

     (e) Divorce office, in case the student is divorced or declares the child of divorced parents.

It is possible by decision of the Department Assembly or the Study Program Committee depending on the income of the P.M.S. to grant excellence scholarships to postgraduate students.

Scholarships are provided on the basis of academic, objective criteria (such as academic performance based on the average score of the first and second semesters of PMS studies) and are registered in the approved budget of P.M.S..

The award conditions, obligations and rights of the scholarship holders are determined by decision of the Department Assembly or the Study Program Committee and concern excellence scholarships (up to three (3) scholarships in total for the 3rd semester of PMS studies), which are awarded to/ the excellent students of P.M.S. based on their performance in the 1st and 2nd semester courses.

Conditions – criteria:

 a) Postgraduate students who have completed the first two semesters of study and have a full-time degree can participate in the excellence scholarships.

b) Successful completion of all courses according to the curriculum

c) Grade performance in courses (with an average greater than or equal to eight and a half)

The scholarships exempt their beneficiaries from the tuition fees of the last (3rd) semester of studies.

The S.E. of the PMS after checking will make a recommendation to the Assembly of the Department, which decides on it. In case of a tie, a draw will be held.

The A.P.Th. may grant remunerative scholarships to postgraduate students with the obligation to support the educational process and provide auxiliary teaching work.
