The Clinical Pharmacology and Forensic Toxicology Laboratories of the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Athens. organize and offer a Master’s Program (MSc) entitled: “Clinical and Industrial Pharmacology – Clinical Toxicology“.

The P.M.S. “Clinical and Industrial Pharmacology – Clinical Toxicology“, which was re-established in accordance with the provisions of Law 4485/2017 (Α΄114), is a continuation of the P.M.S. “Clinical and Industrial Pharmacology” which was established and operated for the first time in the academic year 2016-2017 and from which two series of postgraduate students graduated before the change of the legal framework on postgraduate studies.

The goal of P.M.S. ”Clinical and Industrial Pharmacology – Clinical Toxicology” is to acquaint Health professionals and pharmaceutical workers with the practical application of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology and the processes of development, marketing and sale of new drugs by the Pharmaceutical Industry . Ultimate purpose of P.M.S. is the provision of a high level of education in rational prescribing and the scientific documentation of pharmacotherapy. Also, familiarity with the research, development & approval processes of new drugs as well as the acquisition of skills regarding the evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of drugs already in circulation, as well as the treatment of adverse effects, pharmaceutical and other interactions and poisonings that result from the correct or incorrect use of drugs.
